Zanzibar 2011, Art and Geography Trip:


 

Students worked one-to-one in artists studios and in the streets of Stone Town, sketching and learning new drawing and painting techniques. They also drew inspiration and  from the night food stalls, the snorkeling, the Anglican Cathedral and the memorial  sculptures by Clara Sornas of the slave family.


Kilimanjaro 2011 5km fun run, Moshi waterfalls and coffee plantations:

Year 8 students went with their tutors to Kilimanjaro. They completed a 5km run around Moshi and watched professional marathon runners complete the half and full marathon races, they swam in a waterfall within the rain forest, climbed down the caves of ancestral tribes, did an evening talent show and saw the coffee plantations. 


Rwanda 2012: Year 9 students visited the Genocide Memorial Museum in Kigali and the Rwanda History Museum and Tin factory in Butare. They completed a forty hour road trip from Mwanza, Tanzania across the thousand hills of Rwanda to Lake Kivu for sketching and experiencing the thousands of Fruit bats on Napoleon Island.
